SMaRteN are pleased to invite proposals for research projects to address student’s key questions about student mental health. Funding is available as part of the UKRI ‘plus’ funding scheme for Mental Health Networks.
Through the academic year, 2019 – 2020 SMaRteN ran a Priority Setting Exercise with students. Students were invited to submit their suggested key questions for future research into student mental health. This exercise was carried out before the COVID-19 pandemic. These questions have been reviewed by students and grouped into themes. This funding call is inviting researchers to start new research addressing these questions. We will fund projects that focus on one or more of the following themes:
The total funding available through this call is £135,000. Following UKRI funding guidelines, funding will be made available to cover up to 80% of Full Economic Costs. We particularly invite applications from researchers and organisations working in disciplines outside of psychology and psychiatry. We are prioritising research with BAME groups and would encourage those within this community to apply for funding. Applications from Early Career Researchers are welcome.
